Today the Assembly will consider the Diseases of Animals Bill as well as Question Time for Education and Employment and Learning. Danny Kinahan’s UUP, (South Antrim) Committee appointments to Regional Development and Environment will be rubber stamped replacing party colleagues John McAllister (South Down) and David McClarty (East Londonderry) respectively. The Employment and Learning Committee are also seeking approval for their report on the Inquiry into the Way Forward for Apprenticeships.
The Social Development Committee has a motion supporting employees of Egan contractors calling on the Minister to increase the budget allocation for Decent Homes and related programmes.
In Private Members’ business Sinn Féin has a motion calling for support for the recommendations published in the Criminal Justice Inspectorate’s report on the impact of section 75 on the criminal justice system; and calls on the relevant agencies to implement the recommendations.
