It seems you have to get up very early to get the better of our Education Minister who today will be one step ahead the first item on the agenda. The presentation of a petition for a rebuild of Whitehouse PS is rendered largely redundant with the Minister’s announcement of funding and the official go-ahead last week.
Next the Finance Minister Sammy Wilson will take the Construction Contracts (Amendment) Bill through its second stage before Agriculture Minister Michelle Gildernew leads the further consideration stage of the Forestry Bill.
Sammy shouldn’t stray far from the chamber as he is back in for oral questions followed by Michael McGimpsey in Health.
After that SF will sponsor a motion on methods of cross-border economic co-operation calling for the executive to explore through the N/S Ministerial Council ways of addressing the current adverse economic climate.
Matters are concluded with a DUP motion calling on the Minister of Justice to produce a more effective strategy to tackle a recent spate of robberies.
