It’s straight into the thick of the action this week with Education oral questions which can often get the political pulses racing. Minister Ruane is always a tough act to follow but this week it falls to her party colleague Michelle Gildernew to bring up the rear with Agriculture questions.
Stormont Watchers can finally stop holding their breath as the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee seeks approval for its Inquiry into the Dioxin Contamination Incident of December 2008.
Any budding baristas would do well to tune in to private members business today as there will be much talk of Machiattos, Frappés and Lattés. SF sponsor a motion calling for legislation that will develop a café culture in NI that will rival the boulevards and piazzas of Europe. But the real question is will it raise the standards in Stormont’s tea rooms….?
A debate on funding for prep-schools completes our lot for the day with a joint UUP/DUP motion calling on the Education Minister Catriona Ruane to review her decision to remove public support and to bring the matter before full Executive.
